NGC 7380 / Sharpless2-142, the Wizard Nebula.
I decided to finish it for now because I got impatient because of the weather here which is nothing less than terrible
So for now 10.3 hours of data.
The capture of the OIII didn't really work. I guess because of my Bortle class and the fact that the sky quality was bad during capturing.
The added L-Pro data though did add some more colors, although I really had to force it out almost with processing
I also tried to make a starless version with Starnet++ but that doesn't work really well. I suspect because of the relative big stars caused by the f/10. So only star reduction.
Bortle 6/7
Meade LX200 8" f/10 ACF OTA
Ioptron CEM25EC mount (no guiding)
Optolong L-Pro filter
Optolong L-eXtreme filter
Zwo ASI071MC Pro camera
Captured with SharpCap Pro @ -10 Celsius / White balance R50 B50
L-Pro: 23 x 600 sec / Gain 0 / Offset 4
L-eXtreme: 39 x 600 sec/ Gain 200 / Offset 10
Stacked with DeepSkyStacker
Stacked each set separately
Processed with Siril and Photoshop
Siril: Background Extraction and Histogram for each stack
Photoshop: blended the blue and green channels of both stacks and placed them in the L-eXtreme stack.
Curves, Levels, Camera Raw Filter (blacks, color saturation, clarity, noise reduction, sharpening), star reduction.

Re: NGC 7380 the Wizard Nebula
Just as a matter of trivial interest --- where do you take the wizard to be in this nebula Menno? I place him in the middle wearing some sort of bi-horned hat (as the Vikings in fact never wore) with his arms outstretched orchestrating the surrounding cosmic mayhem?

I myself was looking for that too
I had the arms right but the rest was off.
Here I did find the solution to the riddle (and found that it's also called Flying Horse Nebula): http://www.guidescope.net/nebulae/ngc7380.htm
