Hi,

I did this time lapse of the Partial Eclipse from my Backyard in Laval. Aprox 60%.
Hope you like it.

Using SharpCap captured 10 frames every minute, for a total of 1540 frames aprox.

Equipment:
Celestron NexImage 5
iOptron SmartCube
Celestron 80AZS
Aligned with PIPP

Video is here. https://youtu.be/7g7_0LHIOJA

Still had to stack the videos (150 aprox) to see if I can get more details, but thinking I will let as is. Stacking 150 videos is a lot of work. And I already had another version that I shooted with other telescope, mount and camera.

Cheers

Cool video.

To stack 150 videos with Autostakkert is easy. Select them all and drag and drop onto AS!, the info bar at the bottom of the window will show 150 files are loaded. For video 1, go through the usual process of analyse, decide on % frames to stack, set APs and 'stack'. The info bar at the bottom of the window will show 1/150, 2/150 .... as it progresses. The output will be 150 TIFF files.

I have a HOWTO on bulk processing video captures using PIPP, Autostakkert & Registax in the pipeline which will be available 'real soon now' - I have just gone through all of this myself with 27 Saturn videos, document delayed because of daughter's wedding, house move and emergency decorating ;-(

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the Info, I will try that on AS!. I was used to Registax, but lately having weird results and started working with AS! and got better results.

Thank you

Felipe

A big improvement! I came across the technique in a CN post by the AS! author.

The same technique can be applied when using PIPP.
