M57 the Ring Nebula, RGB + Dual narrowband
The Netherlands, Bortle 8
My first capture of the Ring Nebula. What a cool object!!
Used the tips from here (no Brain though ), including the info from Fits Liberator.
Shot in RGB plus and after that the Zwo Duo narrowband filter (H-Alpha + OIII) and that gave a bit more detail of the inner structure. Not much, but still.
Still shorts nights here with no total darkness but June the 21st has passed, so that is going the right way again
Equipment:
Ioptron CEM25EC mount, no guiding
Meade LX65 8” f/10 ACF OTA
Optec Lepus Standard 0.62x reducer
Baader Neodymium filter / Zwo Duoband filter (H-Alpha + OIII)
Zwo ASI385MC camera
Capture with SharpCap:
RGB: 40 x 35.2 seconds, gain 140 (of 600), 100 flats, 10 darks.
Narrowband: 30 x 60 seconds, gain 200, 100 flats, 6 darks
DeepSkyStacker: stacked the 2 series.
Processed in PS: blended the 2 stacks, Curves and Levels, Shadows/Highlights, bit of color saturation, noise reduction.
