90% waxing moon at approx 45 degrees elevation. 6th Feb 2020 @ 17:53.

Vixen 81s refractor + Vixen 0.67x reducer + Wratten #25 (red) filter + Atik 314E CCD camera.
100 frames @ 0.3 fps, RAW 16.
SharpCap 3.2, Autostakkert!3, Registax 6.1
Stack best 50% of 100 with Resample 2.0x.
Registax wavelets: layer 1 = 2.0, layer 2 = 3.0, layer 3 = 2.0. Contrast = 95, Brightness = 5.

Thanks Bruce. I managed to capture the rays extending from Tycho and Copernicus without burning out any of the surface.

You should try the moon, an ideal target when there is intermittent cloud about. It took nearly 2 years of trying to be able to consistently obtain decent images. The #25 red filter makes a big difference plus the Zoom (for focusing) and Highlight Over Exposed (for exposure) tools in Sharpcap are very useful.

Have a Google for 'LRO NASA images' for some really good shots.
