NGC6960 Western Veil Ha/Oiii/Sii

#1

Well miracles happen we had a four hour window were the sky cleared last night so we managed to get out and have a quick session so chose the Western Veil as a target. The details are below the stars are slightly out of round so I think I have inadvertently moved the adjustable spacer between the flattener/reducer and the camera so the next clear night will be spent fine tuning this again making a note of the exact distance and then probably machining a rigid spacer to do the job to avoid future movement.

Equipment
Avalon M-UNO mount + EQDirect cable
APM LZOS 780/130 refractor + Riccardi 0.75x Flattener/Reducer
Altair 60mm Guidescope + GPCAM290MM Guide Camera
Imaging Camera ASI1600MM-Pro at -20c
Filters 6nm Astronomik Ha / Oiii / Sii
Software Sharpcap Pro/ PHD2 / Stellarium / EQMOD / Astro Pixel Processor + Photoshop CC

Exposures Ha 14 x 180s / Oiii 14 x 180s / Sii 20 x 180s gain set to 200 offset at 50 dithered every four frames.

Combined HA =R OIII = B SII =G

Integration total included time 144 minutes based on the best 80% stacked using APP 1075 and the new feature were you can align process all channels concurrently.

Bortle 4.5 - 5.0
