A chance to use an updated QHY SDK with a 75% waxing moon with Plato, Copernicus and Clavius all near the terminator.
Equipment: Celestron AVX, Celestron C8, QHY5L-II-M, 2x Barlow, IR685 filter.
Preparation: Solar System Align. Focus with JMI Moto-Focus.
Software: SharpCap 3.2.6054.0, Autostakkert!3, GIMP 2.10. Microsoft Image Composite Editor.
Capture: MONO8, Gain 30%, Exposure various to ensure histogram RHS ~60%. Capture Area 1280x960, 1024,768, 800x600, 640x480. Bortle 6 site. Intermittent cloud.
Processing: Stacked in AS!3, best 10% of frames. AS!3 sharpened file processed in GIMP - Auto Contrast, Unsharp Mask, Shadow-Highlights. The 4-panel mosaic was stitched with Microsoft ICE.
The 4 panels were captured at 640x480 @ 54 fps.
1024x768 @ 34 fps
800x600 @ 40 fps
800x600 @ 40 fps
Not the best of seeing conditions for using a 2X Barlow as can be seen in the AS!3 Quality Graph.
The next 2 phases 84% and 91% will give better illumination of the crater floors.
