Hola,

Gracias. :D

Hi,

probably not :(

Putting the figures for the telescope, reducer and camera into a field of view calculator (https://astronomy.tools/calculators/field_of_view/) gives an FOV of 0.56 x 0.37 degrees. This is smaller than the recommended minimum (at least 0.5 degrees in each direction).

You can of course try - you don't even need a SharpCap Pro license to run the first stages of polar alignment which carry out the measurement and show what your polar align error is. The license is only needed for the final adjustment stage.

thanks,

Hi,

if you can connect a camera to it and get focus then it should work - a 50mm f/4 guider with a standard guide camera is a good choice for guiding and polar aligning.

Hi,

yes, that's the usual procedure - your mount will expect to be in that home (zero degree) position when it is switched on. Having it rotated round to 90 degrees is likely to cause problems (unless you have a mount that has an RA encoder, or you moved the mount using the GOTO handset, in which case you don't have to return the mount to the home position).

Hola Robin

Gracias
