Where's the "finished" message?

#1

Post by StrStrck »

Hi, this is not a biggie, but...
I'm using AST LIGHTWEIGHT GUIDING KIT F3.5 for ZWO 120 mc-s. It has a true FOV of 2.9 x 3.8 degr., and I get good PA. The program tells me when to proceed. But wonder why I don't get a "finished / ta-daaaa" message in the end, when I'm really close to bullseye.

Hi Bjorn,

that feature got added in SharpCap 3.0 - it shows a Poor/Fair/Good/Excellent indication next to the distance and also a colour coded border (Red/Amber/Green) around that text. Like this

Just to give you fair warning - the improved polar alignment in v3.0 is part of SharpCap Pro and requires you to buy a SharpCap Pro license.

Well, I don't mind paying for such a great piece of software. Just read, that if plate solving software is installed, SC will draw from that resource, and in turn I wouldn't have to star align?! So, SC Pro should be worth it.
