Is there a really good video tutorial anywhere, for doing the polar alignment?

Get on YouTube and search for sharpcap polar align. Plenty to go at there.

Particularly great is a very subjective thing. This video is useful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=391BNEr5TIA and the creator did put quite a bit of effort into producing it.

Have you tried using the comprehensive instructions integrated within SharpCap?

Perhaps, once you understand the process, you will be the one to produce a particularly great video?

To be fair to dtastro I find Trevor Jones' videos to be over-produced.

Interesting though, in the last 60 seconds of video Mr. Jones says that he successfully captured several 5-minute exposures of M106. Wait a minute, he is using a CMOS camera, how is this possible? :lol:
