Dark image name for live stacking

#1

Post by Jean-Francois »

Hello Robin,

Can you name the dark images from the tool "Capture - Capture Dark" when the location is "Capture Folder" with additional information ? (at least exposure time and gain, maybe detector temperature)
The images have only the time (that is OK). It is really not easy with different objects with different exposure (or gain).
The last night I do some images on the Orion nebula ... and it is necessary to have several images with different exposure time (1 s for the core up to 60s for the faint outer parts). One or two hours later, I do some imaging on other objects ... but the question was ... which file was with which parameters ?

Regards

Hi,

yes, I have this on my to-do list for flat frames, so I will make sure that I do the same for dark frame capture when it gets done.

cheers,

Robin
