Thanks Robin, I'll have a play around and see what happens. I think I've seen (but not touched yet) an option to change the bit depth so some good suggestions to explore. While I don't fully understand the in's and out's of calibration/bit depth yet, these minor hurdles force me to learn more every time I do some processing

Where is the setting to save individual dark frames?

Hi,

see the 'Raw Frames' dropdown as shown here - https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Left%20Panel . You can choose between saving all, none, only those that were added to the stack, etc.
