SharpCap and Neximage Burst is dropping all frames but first

Hello,
I hae Neximage Burst camera, SharpCap Pro and I have watched so many videos on live stacking but when I've tried last night all frames were dropped but first 1. Error was showing ould not align.
I have calibrated my StarSense camera, aligned my Nexstar 6SE twice to add more align points but still SharpCap could not stack due to alignment or too few stars.
What I need to do to fix it.
I have Lenovo X1 Carbon with SSD drive, i& processor, 16Gb memory, Windows 10.

Thank you

Hi,

what is almost certainly happening is that SharpCap is not able to find enough stars in each image to be able to align one image with the next. The first thing to do is to try increasing the brightness of the individual images by increasing the camera exposure or gain settings (or both). If that doesn't help then need to try adjusting the various star detection setting in the alignment tab of the live stacking UI. It's best to start with all the settings at the defaults and then to be fairly methodical in changing them as if you adjust the more you can easily get into a situation where they are doing more harm than good. You can find more documentation on the settings here – https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Alignment%20Tab

Thank you very much Robin,
One question: what would be defaults settings? Just follow manual?
Is it possible that street light would affect alignment? I live in small town but street lamp is about 50m from my house Or I have picked M101 and it is in not very stars rich area?

Hi,

there is a 'Reset All' button on the alignment tab that will put all the options back to their defaults.

I don't think that the streetlight will have a great deal of effect unless it is really brightening the background of your images considerably – it might be worth trying a more star rich target area as your next target to get things working and then moving back to M101 when you have a little more experience.

Cheers, Robin
