color or mono flat frames for color camera (ASI294c)?

I used an electroluminescent camera to create 30 flats with my ASI294c, then averaged them to create a single "master flat."
I have the option of saving this as either a color (debayered RGB) or mono file, then subtracting it from individual images that I'm livestacking.
Which should I do? Color or mono?
I am using a skyglow filter that gives the images a blue cast, and hoping that applying the flat will help correct both color balance and uneven illumination (vignetting).
But applying the color flat produces bizarre color coasts in the live stack that can't be corrected with the sliders or the auto color balance settings.
Should I then use mono flats with color images?
Thanks for your sage advice!!
