I have extensive experience with the 294 and SharpCap. The two settings I would focus on in star detection parameters are black level and digital gain. Start with black level of 50 and digital gain of 4x. If you still not getting positive results I would go higher on digital gain first then back to black level as needed.

On the right column of Sharpcap there is "Binning" at the top and there is "Mono Bin" at the bottom. What's the difference here? Where can I learn more about how to use Mono Bin and the adjustments underneath it?

Putting 'mono bin' into the forum search led to this in the manual https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Camera ... 20Controls. The term is described in Image Controls under ZWO cameras.
