Hello, I have c mount lens the 2/3" MC3-03X macro Zero distortion multi-configuration macro lens.
Lens was not cheap at ~700Eur.

Now I would like to get the 18MP 1/2.3" camera.

Lens manufacturer sent me these charts for my lens, it seems the lens is more like 10MP at 180lp/mm sice FUJINON 12MP is 200lp/mm

The problem is that Pointgrey states that you need 323 lp/mm for 1/2.3" sensor ! No such lenses exit as far as I searched.

How bad will the image be on 1 vs. 2?

I refuse to believe I can use 5MP cameras only, I need more resolution. And why there are no 2/3" sensors with resolutions like 18MP it they can easily squeeze them into 1/2.3"?????
