Thanks, Dave
I was able to download Fits Liberator and it automatically changed the .fits from PRISM to FITS Liberator once I downloaded the program. I think all is back to normal as I was able to open a SC saved fits image in PI.
Thanks again, Bruce

Re: 32-bit fits file association issue
Hi Robin Thanks- I was trying that but I think I need it unassociated from any program as it probably was before I downloaded PRISM. If I try to associate with PI or any other program, it keeps asking for a specific file in that program. I have no idea what that means or how to do it. So, I am still...

32-bit fits file association issue
Hi This is really not a SC problem but hoping someone can help. I am saving fits frames from my live viewing stacks to post process in PI but unfortunately they are being associated with another program I have- PRISM. I have no idea how to unassociated them from PRISM so that they are available to u...

Re: Circular-ish background with live stacking
Hi Jean-Paul Excellent! I am still under cloudy skies so I have not been able to test further. However, this makes sense given what Robin told me in the past and I hope he chimes in as I understand: A- If you want to only tweak an image in PI: Save as 16-bit stack with adjustments such as color bala...

Re: Messier 27: A SharpCap-PixInsight Combination
ahhh.... I did not see this other thread. It seems you and Robin explained the issue and you clearly demonstrated the fix but I guess he is still having problems. I'm at least glad my response was consistent with your feedback.

Re: Messier 27: A SharpCap-PixInsight Combination
Hi Carl Thank you for the compliment. I agree, the simpler the better as far as I am concerned about the equipment. It sounds like you are seeing individual frames but not the stack after you save it. Can you post a screen shot of what you see and a copy of your log in SC? If you do that, the inform...

Re: Celestron Focuser and Sharcap
Hi Roel This is strange and I saw the lengthy discussion on CN about all of the connection issues. I have been using this focuser for months now with my C11" and SC with no issues. Only a couple of times did I boot up SC and it did not connect but I simply rebooted and it worked. I am connectin...

Re: Some live mono H-alpha views...Part 1
Thanks so much for the compliment, Robin. It is greatly appreciated and from me as an avid Mac user who was very hesitant to use Windows, I cannot thank you enough for your outstanding software. Combining SC with the newer CMOS cameras has just transformed my live views of the hot and very humid Bor...

A few examples of live mono H-alpha views....Part 2
A few more examples trying SC for the first time to do mono, Ha during a full moon. These are all 20x60s stacks using an Astrodon 5nm Ha filter and ZWO ASI 1600M Pro cooled camera on a C11" EdgeHD @ f/7.
