Re: Svbony 405cc vignetting
Hi, normally you should use the camera from the 'SVBony' section of the cameras menu, not the 'DirectShow'. By using DirectShow you miss out on the advanced features of the camera (high bit depth, cooling, etc). You will get more control over the camera with the 'SVBony Cameras' option, but some of ...

Re: Strange results with Sensor Analysis
Hi, that looks better (although the display stretch you have on is whiting out the image, which puts you at a disadvantage when choosing a good area to do the analysis on). A lower frame rate can slow things down, but another culprit is lower light levels which lead to longer exposures being used. I...

Re: Recentering after Plate Solve not working
Ok, thanks everyone, I've got it... There was one place where the epoch of a set of co-ordinates was incorrect, so I fixed that (which was fine), but I then decided that code that looked the same elsewhere must also be wrong and changed the same code in another place where it *was* correct to begin ...

Re: 2 naming bugs in Capture Flats tool
Hi, I just had a look at the code, and the flat file naming uses the video capture template on the grounds that it is creating a single output file rather than a series of individual files (Capture_00001, Capture_00002, etc). So, if you put the sortable tag onto the video capture template, I think i...

Re: Crash with beta 4.1, zip attached
Hi Bob, yes, that all makes sense - the error is happening in response to ticking or clearing the 'Select all' box, so the proper action there fails to happen and then the program will produce a crash report soon after. There must be some detail of the setup on your system that is not happening on m...

Re: Crash with beta 4.1, zip attached
Hi Bob, thanks for sending that - unfortunately it doesn't break things for me, which is odd :( Is that the only custom catalog that you have? It was the only one I could see in your log, but maybe I missed something. Do you see a blank/empty entry in the object types area (checkbox with no text aga...

Re: Dark frame and hot pixels
Hi, yes, SharpCap takes a statistical view of the dark frame and flags any pixel more than 7 sigma above the mean as hot. When the time comes to do dark frame subtraction, the value of the light frame pixel is ignored at that point and a value is stolen from an adjacent pixel (of the same CFA colour...

Re: Svbony 405cc vignetting
Hi, the most likely cause is that the telescope is not fully illuminating the larger sensor of the SV405, meaning that the edges and corners get a lower amount of illumination than the center. This is simply a matter of the geometry of the internal structure of the telescope which means that for the...

Re: Moravian Instruments C1x/C3-61000 and 26000
Hi Martin,
yes, this is possible - I have added built-in filter wheel support for a couple of other brands of camera, so I have some code to copy. I will try to implement it over the next week or two.
cheers,
Robin
