Hi,
good to hear the humidity readout is working. If you can send me the SharpCap log I will have a look to see if there is anything wrong with the filterwheel code - I have been working on that recently, so a bug is possible, but my ZWO EFW seems to work OK with no warning.
cheers,
Robin

Re: AS!3 Not Showing Full Size Image
Hi Michael, what is happening is that you have 2x2 binning turned on, and SharpCap is showing the resolution *before* binning in the resolution drop down, so the actual image size is 1528x1024 due to the binning. This is one of those things that I keep meaning to fix - whether you see the 'before bi...

Re: Never ending frames
Hi, thanks for the comprehensive info - it looks like I need to add a timeout for capturing a still image for the PlayerOne camera (there are already timeouts for some other cameras in SharpCap, like ASCOM). This will make SharpCap give up and try again if there is no image within (say) exposure tim...

Re: Is the new ASI462MM supported?
Hi Tony,
looks like there was a new SDK released by ZWO yesterday (12th Jan). The changelog says that it adds support for the 990MM and the 462MM, so looking promising. I will be updating SharpCap next Monday and will include the new SDK.
cheers,
Robin

Re: date and time in camera settings file
Hi Alain, based on experience with other cameras that do have the GPS info, I am fairly sure that the download time for the frame getting to the computer will depend on both the exposure length and the setting of the 'Turbo USB' control in a way that is complex enough to be almost impossible to work...

Re: date and time in camera settings file
Hi, StartCapture is the estimated start time of the first frame that is in the capture file. This is estimated by taking the time that SharpCap receives the frame and subtracting the exposure length from it, so no account is taken of how long it might have taken to transfer the frame from the camera...

Re: Distorted AVI files
Hi,
it's not something I have seen before (or at least I don't think I have). Could you post a screenshot showing the distortion (and ideally, if you can share one of the problem files via Google Drive, DropBox or OneDrive etc, I could take a closer look).
cheers,
Robin

Hurrah!
I strongly suspect that the new ASCOM library (which replaces the default ASCOM platform code, and adds support for things like Alpaca) works around whatever the original issue was that we couldn't work out.
clear skies!

Sorry to hear that you had to go that far - something had obviously made some pretty big changes to your Windows file settings at some point if they were that hard to get back to normal

Re: Creating Master Darks from Individual dark frames
Hi, yes, it involves a bit of fiddling around, but you can do this using the 'Folder Monitor' virtual camera. This acts like a camera in SharpCap but gets the images from a series of image files in a folder, rather than from a real camera. In this way you can apply any normal SharpCap action (like m...
