Ah, well that is different to the banding I was thinking about then... Can you share an image showing the issue please?
The banding suppression will deal with very fine lines visible in the stretched image, not anything more than that.
thanks,
Robin

Re: Sharp Cap Pro: non riesco a collegare Esatto 2" e AZ.EQ6
Hi Paolo, from the screenshots you have included, I can see the failure to connect to the Synscan app - the error message shown makes me think that the Synscan app is failing to find the mount on the network. Maybe the WIFI connection to the mount is poor or drops out at times. Wireless connection t...

Re: Banding on Lights and Darks
Hi, this seems to be a pretty standard effect with a whole range of modern CMOS cameras. I believe that it is down to fluctuations in the power supply within the camera. Sometimes the effect varies in strength depending on the gain in use. My experience is that this is never visible in the unstretch...

Re: Auto meridian flip?
Hi Steve, I did add a sequencer step that should perform the actual meridian flip itself - it will wait up to 15 minutes for the mount to cross the meridian and then attempt to flip the mount over and return to point at the same co-ordinates from the other side. This was intended to be a building bl...

Re: No Image Taken
Hi Cey, It seems that sometimes the P1 cameras fail to produce a frame for some reason. I did add a timeout to the PlayerOne code fairly recently, but currently that only applies in still mode, and you are using live mode, so it will not help you. What steps do you need to take to recover when this ...

Re: Sharp Cone and GEM45 iOptron mount
Ah, this came up before - the older verions of ConeSharp checked for an alignment type of 'GermanPolar' coming from the ASCOM driver, rather than just 'Polar'. I made an update, but I suspect that I only uploaded it to the forums somewhere. I have just updated the main ConeSharp page with a new down...

Re: Live Stacking Auto Focus
Hi Robert,
you can't run both at once, but there is an easy workaround... When you close live stacking, it doesn't reset, it just pauses. So...
Close live stacking
Run the auto-focus
Re-open live stacking
Press the 'Resume' button to continue stacking
cheers,
Robin

Re: How to report a Crash
Hi, I have had a look through our uploaded bug reports, and didn't spot any that I could immediately identify as relating to your issue - I would need some more info to be sure (what version of SharpCap you were using, what camera, and what the error message that you saw said). We do tend to concent...

Re: SharpCap 4.1 Beta Update - 23rd January 2023
Hmm, OK... In reverse order - the plate solving one is easy - it has never changed the exposure, but previously it would often use the previously captured frame (the one currently being displayed). That's bad from the point of view of Goto Target/Goto Co-ordinates, because it meant the plate solving...

Re: Help with Sensor Analysis and results from imaging
Hi, I would recommend leaving the colour sliders at their default settings of 128 - they don't do you any favours when you adjust them, since they simply multiply pixel values by some number. It is better to leave them at default and fix colour issues after stacking. If the image is too dark to view...
