Re: Live stacking color balance not working using Bin2 with Hardware Binning On
Hi Robin, I used v. 3.1.5174 last night with good results! Whatever changes you made, they definitely helped. Using Bin2 with Hardware Binning On, I first manually balanced the Red and Blue channels to overlap with the Green channel, using the image histogram (not the live stack histogram). Then I s...

Re: Live stacking color balance not working using Bin2 with Hardware Binning On
Hi Robin, I tried again last night using Bin2 and Hardware binning on, live-stacking for 10 minutes on the Owl Nebula with a matching master dark and master flat. At no time was I able to use the auto color balance; clicking the lightening bolt did nothing. I tried using the color sliders, but could...

Re: Live stacking color balance not working using Bin2 with Hardware Binning On
Is there a rule of thumb for how long I need to stack or how much signal SC needs before there is enough for color balance to work? Thanks.

[FIXED 3.1.5174] Live stacking color balance not working using Bin2 with Hardware Binning On
I'm using SharpCap v. 3.1.5164. I have a Win10Pro 64 bit laptop, and am using a ZWO 1600MC-Cool camera, with latest ZWO drivers. Using previous SC versions, I have successfully used Bin2 with Hardware Binning On during live-stacking (and using matching master dark and master flat), and have been abl...

How to use the Focus Assistant with an ASCOM focuser?
I can successfully get SharpCap to control my Starizona autofocuser, but I can't quite figure out how to use the Focus Assistant. I made several tries last night using FHWM, but even though the focus scan was "successful", clicking "Go to best position" did not improve the focus ...

Re: Additions/changes - Near Live Imaging
In addition to adding a Saturation slider for live stacking, please consider adding a "Sharpen" slider that can be used to sharpen (improve the sharpness of) the live stacked image. After all, this is SharpCap! Thanks!

Live-stacking spring galaxies
I'm really enjoying using the live-stacking feature! Here are some recent images I took with my C14Edge and Hyperstar @F/2, using a ZWO1600MC-C camera with IDAS P2 filter. All images were taken at the camera's Unity Gain of 139 and Brightness of 21. More details are available by clicking the thumbna...

Re: Add option to use Sigma clipping when capturing Flat
OK, thanks for explaining how it works. My workaround is to create the master flat in DSS (using sigma clipping) and then browse to it in SharpCap. As long as the master flat is in FITS format, this should work, correct?
