Ok,
so I suggest you try the next update (due next Monday) which will have the new SDK from QHY in it. If that is no better, let me know and I will report the problem to QHY.
thanks,
Robin

Re: Pro license question
Hi, I do hope to re-instate the option to buy lifetime licenses in the future - probably within the next year or so. There are a number of things to be worked out like what should the price point be this time around and will they only be offered to people who have already got a yearly license that i...

Re: Running an exe directly from sequencer
Hi,
yes, this is in the 'Misc' section - 'Run <program to run> with arguments ...' - you can also specify whether the sequencer should wait for the program to exit or leave it running and carry on with other steps.
cheers,
Robin

Re: ASTAP plate solve inconsistency
Hi David, let me try to answer your questions first... 1) No, the display stretch *does not* affect the image sent to Astap (or Astrotortilla etc), so if you have used the stretch to make stars visible then maybe you are sending a frame that is too dark for proper star detection. 2) If you are using...

Re: Problems with Basler acA640 - 100gm
Hi, please can you provide a log file from SharpCap, captured after the problem has occurred - this should reveal more information that may help explain what is going on. The message about 'Check disk space, permissions and antivirus' means that SharpCap was unable to write to the capture file. Ther...

Re: Native driver
Hi Emilio, it's as I suspected - the new SDK is not spotting the camera at all. I have just noticed that there is an even newer SDK available from QHY (https://www.qhyccd.com/html/prepub/log_en.html#!log_en.md) - I will try to include that in next week's update - it may help. The other thing that mi...

Re: Upcoming new features
Hi,
no, you shouldn't need to recalibrate unless something has gone badly wrong in the SDK update - the calibration values come from the electrical properties (timings, speeds, etc) of the circuits on the camera, the SDK version has little to do with them.
cheers,
Robin

Re: full-well dynmic range increase
Hi, I don't really see an advantage to 'pre stacking'. If you do it without alignment then the total exposure time in a pre-stack is limited by your mount tracking accuracy anyway, and the lower limit on sub-exposure length is set by read noise considerations. Unless you are very constrained for sto...

Re: Dithering in Sequencer
Hi Colin, when I wrote the dithering support in the sequencer, the 'dither only' guiding option did not exist, so dithering relied entirely on PHD, which obviously needed stars. For that reason, dithering is disabled in the daylight test because it will not work. However, you can test dithering - PH...

Re: Moravian Instruments C1x/C3-61000 and 26000
Hi,
OK, that's not too bad for a first try - looks like the camera SDK does not want to report the minimum/maximum exposure times to SharpCap. Do you know what they are? I can hardwire them if the SDK call fails.
Also, does the camera have gain? The same might be necessary for gain.
cheers,
Robin
