Re: Live Stack 3 Panel Mosaic Orion & Running Man
Hi Chris, I have moved away from EQMOD and now use GSS to control the mount but will just use Stellarium to set the overlaps up as I intend to do it using just the flattener rather than putting in the reducer to get more detail in the objects as it then gives me 1 arc second per pixel although it is...

Re: M51 Whirlpool (First real go with ASI2600MC Pro)
Thanks for the comments Chris yes this is using a full set of calibration frames in APP so darks / flats / dark flats and bias although it has very low noise and amp glow, etc I still want to calibrate out hot and cold pixels so I still use darks the flats are really only for dust as the corrected i...

M51 Whirlpool (First real go with ASI2600MC Pro)
Well we had a clear night the seeing was not great as the live view FWHM between frames varied from 3.2 to 5.5 at some points, the images below are the result of the 369 x 15s frames that I kept out of the 700 that I took. This was the first real go with the new ASI2600MC Pro that we have had to act...

Re: ASI2600MC-Pro short first light before it started raining (Again)
Hi Brian,
This is without my reducer with the 0.75x reducer in at F4.5 I can't quite get M31 in but at some point I will get the flattener for the ED72 and then I can guide with the 130/780 and get some really wide shots off the skywatcher that I normally guide with.
Cheers

ASI2600MC-Pro short first light before it started raining (Again)
It was clear for 90 minutes last night so had a chance to actually try the camera for the first time as it has been over a month since I brought the thing and have never used it. The images below are just test captures as we were just playing with the camera there are no dark / flats subtracted and ...

Cracking images as usual Chris, optimistically we may have a clear night Monday if we are above water so might actually get to try the ASI2600MC Pro out.

Quark Chromo UV/IR cut
Hi I am looking at getting a Daystar Quark Chromo to give me something to play with in the lighter months and was looking on the Daystar site and they say to use a IR/UV Cut filter above 80mm and then there is a sub note that if the scope is going to be used for regularly solar work then you should ...

Re: Reduce exposure during dithering saves 1.0s individual frames.
Hi,
I have had this to what I do is activate the brightness filter in the live stack and set the threshold to exclude the 1s exposures so you at least do not see them in the live stack. You still need to manually delete them in the raw frames folder though.
Cheers

Re: ZWO ASI6200MC no picture
I had an issue with my ASI2600MC-PRO Friday when first connected, it would not show an image and the dropped frame counter just counted up regardless of exposure length or any other setting downloaded latest ZWO drivers and installed and then the Jan 3rd version of SharpCap installed it and restarte...
