Re: Livestack alignment settings
I do have a goal to make more of the star detection parameters automatic in the future – I think that in particular the black level and digital gain could be calculated automatically without too much trouble, leaving less parameters for people to have to adjust. Hi all, I mostly use Live Stacking a...

Re: Recent change in "Target Name" field behavior
There have been a few issues and fixes with naming recently. Have a look at the links. It's currently working for me, hope this doesn't get broken again.

Re: Start time in FITS is 2 hours behind
Hi Menno
The earlier time is GMT. The 2nd time is GMT +2, Your profile states Netherlands as your location. I guessing you are imaging from your home country witch is +2 hours of GMT. There's also a 2 min difference plus the 2 hours so I'm guessing your imaging time was 2 min?

Re: Make my image fit the display frame?
Hi rsauerbrun,
What is the resolution of the display you're viewing SharpCap on? Make sure you have the Zoom control on the top boarder of SharpCap set to "Auto" this should display the entire image scaled to your display. See image below Hope this helps, Chris

Re: actual backfocus Nexstar 6se asi244mc
Hi Watcher From Celestron's site it's 5 inches or 127 mm. This means to achieve focus the imaging plain of the camera (sensor) must be at this distance to achieve focus. The ZWO ASI224MC has 12.5 mm of back focus listed (ss Robin described the distance from the sensor to the camera mounting thread.)...

Re: Polar alignment not even close
Hi Luke Spacehopper, First thing I'd check is that your PC and Mount are on the same and correct time. Can't tell you how many times this has bitten me. Usually all is well since the mount will sync from GPS but every now and then the mount will have trouble locking onto GPS. And I never check until...

Re: Piggyback Live Stacking July 13-15 2020
Thanks for the kind words Bruce. I'd love to keep a setup like this up but alas my primary imaging location is my brother's home. I don't have enough clear FOV at home to make sense to build a permanent setup. If I could build an OBS that could be secured it would work. We live outside of Atlanta in...
