Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C
Hi Robin I am going to see if the new QHY Driver is any help, but I wrote QHY Support to ask about setting Gain and Offset for the QHY165C and SharpCap after you said you the offset is applied before the gain and you thought they might "fix" this problem in a future driver. They wrote back...

using MetaGuide to Dither
I think you have answered this but I could not find exactly what I am looking for. MetaGuide provides a program that can be run to cause MetaGuide to dither. So, what I need from SharpCap is to be able to run that MetaGuide Dither program once between every frame. Is there a way I run a script in Sh...

Re: Issues with QHY168C
Hi Robin YOu may recall I worked with you last year to try and get my 165C working with SharpCap. I had two problems: One was with the sensor analysis not working and Two was strange behavior with the temperature settings. You said at the time the problems were with the QHY software and not somethin...

Re: Stop or pause capture rarely works
Hi Robin
Yes, exactly! I found that out last night when I was changing some of my settings. Once I unclicked the sequence button, it worked correctly. That was just unexpected behavior but makes sense in hindsight. Thank you!

Re: Stop or pause capture rarely works
I have the same behavior with my QhY165C. With SharpCap 3.1, it worked fine. And even an earlier version of SharpCap 3.2 worked fine. But the last couple of versions behave the same as described above. Stop Capture briefly shows the green bar with "dont wait" and "cancel". The gr...

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C
Robin: Thank you for your help and for trying to make SharpCap Sensor Analysis work for me! I will continue to use SharpCap for all of my imaging needs and maybe eventually, we can revisit this as well. Do you have any recommendations for me when it comes to selecting the best gain and offset for my...

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C
I am home again for a week, so I thought I would see if any progress had been made to get SharpCap Sensor Analysis to support my QHY165C.
Thanks
Bryan

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C
I ran a few tests and see a gain of 255 and exposure of 1.0 ms, I need an offset of 30 to get a 50% histogram. An offset of 60 brings the histogram to near the top.

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C
Robin:
Here are the only two log files I see created today when I just ran these tests. The 14204 seems to be the 3.2 and the 13208 is 3.1. But I did 2 or even 3 runs and those must have appended to the same log file.
Thank you for helping to make this work!
