Re: Alnitak Flip-Flat
Hi Louis, OK, brilliant :) I can't seem to find any SDK or library that would let me control the device directly from within SharpCap, so I think the approach we will take is going via the 'AACMD' command line application. In order to use that you need to * know what folder it is installed in on the...

Re: Focusing bug in 4.1.11939 (64 bit)
Ok... mystery solved... I *had* fixed the bug with the focus buttons, but the fix wasn't in build 4.1.11939. Last week I was swapping back and forward between working with a camera manufacturer on adding some new functionality and normal bug fixing. Build 11939 ended up having the camera manufacture...

Hi,
OK, I see the same - thanks for spotting that! I don't quite understand why yet, but now I can debug it.
cheers,
Robin

Re: SharpCap library from an external editor
Hi,
unfortunately you can't - the limitation is related to the software protection I use to try to ensure that people do not bypass the licensing requirements or hack the software.
Sorry about that,
Robin

Re: When starting SharpCap
Hi Louis, I think that this is related to the auto-update check not working in a way I hadn't anticipated. I have actually put a fix in for similar issues fairly recently (last couple of weeks), that I think will cure this problem too. However, there is currently an issue with focuser movement butto...

Re: Guide Scope Alignment tool
Hi, I find the easiest way to do this is using the moon or a very bright star (something magnititude 1-2 or brighter). Get the target in view and centered on the main scope using plate solving and then it should be visible in the guide scope (wider field of view) and you can adjust to center it. If ...

Re: New version of Oxyplot with problems
Hi, yes, I ended up updating the Oxyplot DLL for another reason and had to change my code because they changed the API :( I think the reason for the change is that the new version can support multiple legends, so having a single LegendPlacement/Position was no longer sufficient. I had to change my c...

Re: Delete entries in ROI list
Hi, unfortunately that can only be done with registry editing - you need to go into the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AstroSharp Limited\SharpCap\4.1 You will find a value called 'CustomResolutions' in there that you can either edit (carefully!) or delete that value entirely to wipe all th...
