Re: Polar align failure with ZWO mini scope
Hi, can you share a polar image captured using the ZWO mini scope? I know a lot of people use these scopes successfully, so there is nothing fundamental stopping it from working, perhaps just a need to adjust settings? If you have not already, check out the troubleshooting guide - https://docs.sharp...

Hi,
it's something I've been thinking about, but haven't done yet. You can get close to this by using the folder monitor camera to read in a sequence of still image files from a folder (you can even create those from an SER or AVI file using PIPP)
cheers,
Robin

Re: No consigo grabar saturno
Hi,
can you share a screenshot showing
* your camera settings
* the histogram
* the image of your planetary target on screen
That will help work out what you need to do to improve your image.
thanks,
Robin

Re: 32 vs 64 bit SC 4.0
Hi John,
I found that the place I had disabled AVX was only one of two places where it was necessary - I'm hoping to put out an update next week that will not require AVX on the 64 bit version
cheers,
Robin

Hi Tim,
ok, no problem. Remember that v4.0 is now no longer beta - it's fully released and ready to go (although I am still working on bugs and improvements and updating regularly).
cheers,
Robin

Re: Starlight Xpress Midi filter wheel crash
Hi Bruce, The 'ZWO Filterwheel (X)' entries are from the ASCOM driver and you will see them available even if you do not have the ZWO wheel attached to the PC. If you are going to use these entries then you need to hit 'properties' for each one and configure it to talk to the right wheel (the top dr...

Re: 64bit won't work on my older Xeon CPU
Hi, I think I have a version that will work with no AVX. So far I have not seen a significant performance drop in my testing, so I will start with just that version for now and re-introduce an optional AVX enabled version if required. Fortunately VirtualBox has a way of configuring what instruction ...

Re: How to stop/reset Live Stack?
Hi Pete, not something I've seen before. What camera and version of SharpCap are you using? Do you have any log files from sessions where this problem has happened? Maybe they will tell us something. You can find previously saved log files on disk - see https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Show%20Log ch...

Re: About crashes and bug reports in SharpCap
Hi Gary, the Weiner deconvolution is one of the most time consuming processing steps in SharpCap, so it could be that it is just very slow for you (if you have a high resolution camera and a slow PC). Even that should actually freeze SharpCap completely, although it may update very slowly. I'd sugge...

Re: Ist Post - Orion Imaging Eyepiece
Hi Dave, well, good news that you got an image out of your old camera and the USB grabber! Before you spend more money on a different camera, I'd suggest seeing if you can first get a terrestrial image from your current set up (roof, distant tree, etc) and then try for an image of the moon. All good...
