Re: Is it possible with 3.3 to dither without guiding and no live stack?
Hi Rick, the key fields in those files are actually these TotalExposure(s)=1530.649259 StackedFrames=389 and TotalExposure(s)=1621.150372 StackedFrames=412 These show the number of frames that have gone into the stack and the total exposure of all those frames - divide the total exposure by the stac...

Re: Flats nightmare
Hi, I'm unaware of any problems below 2s exposure (other than some cameras not doing exact exposures in the 1s to 2s range - ie you ask for 1.27s and get 1.4s). That's not really important for flats though. Also using LCG doesn't matter - for flats you are exposing the whole image at ~60-70% brightn...

Re: Headbands with force still mode on QHY294m-Pro
Hi, until last week I didn't have a QHY camera that supported overscan, so I couldn't even think of putting in support for it. Even now my feeling is that this is something that should be hidden from the user - in 99.99% of cases you don't want it and if you have it then there is a problem with proc...

Re: ROI Selection
Hi,
this feature has been added to SharpCap 4.0 beta - see : https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/sha ... s/4-0-beta
Basically, the center point of the new resolution should be the center point of the old one when you change resolution.
cheers,
Robin

Re: QSI 6162 connection problem
Hi, From the look of it the camera is not completing initialization properly (no controls appearing on the right). Difficult to be sure of the reason why, although there may be some useful information in the SharpCap log. I have some things you can try : 1) try SharpCap 4.0 beta - that should have m...

Re: How to completely reset a QHY 174 / SC installation?
Hi, I'm also using that 2008020 driver - seems to work Ok for me. Capture.JPG I do find that this camera is sensitive to USB port - USB3 ports on an addin card rather than the motherboard have caused problems in the past. What happens if you try a USB2 cable? Is it stable then? I had to replace the ...

Re: RA DEC Coordinates In FITS Header
Hi John, yes, the co-ordinates come from your mount position at the time that the image was captured. Just doing a plate solve in SharpCap (via the tools menu) will have no effect on this, but doing a 'plate solve and sync' from the GPS button will - that's because it updates the mount co-ordinates ...

Re: Night Vision Colours also for GPS-window
Hi Niko,
I'll look into whether the GPS info can be put into night mode - it may not be easy as it uses a slightly different technology implementation to most of the rest of the UI.
Did you know you can toggle night mode on/off with the F12 key?

Re: Question about our Club's Pro license
Hi Jeff,
as long as you don't use both at the same time then that would be fine. My goal is not to make small clubs pay over the odds, merely to try to stop larger organizations using one license across a whole department or in a large teaching lab.
cheers,
Robin
