Re: Automating run including meridian flip
Hi Gary, the best documentation is here - https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#The%20SharpCap%20Sequence%20Editor - however, it only covers the steps that were available when SharpCap 4 was released, not the ones added more recently. I can see a couple of things that you need to fix... 1) You need a 'Mo...

Re: ASI6200MM-Pro Hardware Binning ?
Hmm, some things to try out if you don't mind... 1) Try bin 2 without hardware binning, does that work? 2) Try setting an ROI with a width divisible by 16 and then going into bin 2 with hardware binning and see if that works. The latter is related to some rules ZWO have to set the size of the captur...

Re: New Feature : Deep Sky Image Annotation
Hi, there's a lot to be said for that approach - you will always get better stacking results if you use a dedicated processing application, or better planetarium results with something like Cartes-du-ciel, and so on. However, running multiple applications is not always the easiest way to do somethin...

Re: C/2022 E3 ZTF - ASI678MC - Not getting color
Hi, with regards to the comet streaking out, I wonder if somehow you swtiched back to normal alignment mode instead of comet alignment? Alternatively, something else is being picked up as the comet (brightest star maybe?) - if that is the case, the way to fix is to turn on highlight detected stars i...

Re: Testing the photometry tool. W_UMa eclipsing binary
Hi Tim, thanks for the report - glad that it worked well for you! I will have to look into having some way to log the data automatically from each frame (ideally grouping the data for each star somehow so that it is easily accessible). From the point of view of output data, I think a dual approach m...

Re: New Feature : Deep Sky Image Annotation
Hi Jean-Francois,
thanks for the suggestions - I am going to look into them and try to implement some. Unfortunately the HD star catalog is too big (225000 objects) to be included by default.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Zigzag Hot Pixels
Hi, The zigzags are following the movement of the image due to the mount not tracking perfectly - probably some declination drift added to some periodic error in RA. Two approaches to consider : 1) Check your dark frames : They should have exactly the same settings as your light frames, and be taken...

Re: ASI6200MM-Pro Hardware Binning ?
Hi, 'Hardware Binning' on ZWO cameras is pretty much all handled by the ZWO SDK. SharpCap gets to ask if the camera supports that feature and then gets to turn it on or off - other than that, SharpCap talks to the camera in precisely the same way whether or not is available or active. So... The fact...

Re: How to report a Crash
Hi, a couple of quick suggestions re. the colour missing issue... * Check the Colour Space setting is RAW16 * Check the 'Debayer Preview' setting is set to 'On'. * Also check the saturation slider (right hand most vertical slider on the live stack histogram) has not been moved to the minimum value. ...
