Re: Automating run including meridian flip
Hi, I'm afraid that youtube videos aren't really my strong point, but I can provide some pointers... Enclose the imaging steps before the meridian in a 'Stop running these steps when <Distance> degrees from the meridian'. Every degree is 4 minutes of time, so unless your subs are longer than 4 minut...

Re: Sync & ReCenter
Hi, I'm afraid it's not obvious from the ASCOM log which one was carried out from CdCiel - probably at about 8:30-8:40pm from the slightly different commands seen there, but the slews in that section of the file seem the same in terms of the logged info as the SharpCap ones. Interestingly there are ...

Re: Sunspots and Prominence
Hi Carl, not quite sure what has happened with the second attachment - sort of looks like it is there but it isn't. You ought to be able to add multiple files and either place them in the post or if you don't they appear at the bottom as download links. Good work on getting out and getting some more...

Re: GoTo : wrong coordinates for targets
Hi, looks like we have a different issue here - from the logs, it seems that the mount ASCOM driver is sometimes ignoring the sync request without raising an error - for instance Debug 22:42:08.464954 #1 Notification (Status=OK): Plate solve succeeded, position found to be RA=10:30:04,7,Dec=+22:50:1...

Re: Sync & ReCenter
Thanks for posting both logs - very useful, but not necessarily good news... Taking the example of the goto to M87 starting at 19:58:29, the following information comes out 19:58:29.285501 SharpCap catalog co-ordinates : RA=12:30:48.0,Dec=+12:24:00 (J2000) position to RA=12:32:02.7,Dec=+12:15:54 (JN...

Re: Capture failures last night
Hi Bill,
since I found and answered the other copy first, I moved that one here into bug reports - I will lock this topic and continue the discussion as needed in the other copy.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Capture failures last night
Hi Bill, thanks for posting the log - from the details in it, it looks like this is very similar to another issue that I am currently trying to solve (https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=7618). It seems that in both cases the camera stops responding to requests for frames without any usefu...

Re: New Feature : Support for ASCOM Cover/Calibrator devices
Hi,
OK, no worries. What happens if you just tell it to ignore the error? Does it do what you want? That would indicate that I can make SharpCap treat the error as less serious and perhaps get it working.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Manual Focus - mororised focuser attached
Hi Geoff,
possibly, might make sense with the 'large step' button. I will have to investigate how easy it is to distinguish between a press and 'press and hold' from that point of view.
cheers,
Robin
