Re: Difficulites getting Platesolver to run again.
Hi, one thing I can see is a known issue with the latest iOptron drivers and SharpCap 4.0, which gives ridiculous values for the RA/Dec/Alt/Az shown in SharpCap (those bad values could also be affecting plate solving). The fix for that is either * Use SharpCap 4.1 or * Use the ASCOM device hub for c...

Re: No cooler
Hi, for the Player1 camera you need to be using the latest versions of SharpCap 4.1 beta (https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/sharpcap-downloads/sharpcap-4-1-beta) which have support for the cooler functionality on Player One cameras. This support is *not* in SharpCap 4.0 For the RisingCam, you shou...

Re: Player one M MAX problem
Hi, well done for finding that option. If that option has helped then it is *usually* an indication that your graphics card drivers are out-of-date. Have a look for the latest version for your hardware on the manufacturer site (Intel/AMD/NVidia) and if you can find a newer version then install that ...

Re: ...interpret sensor analysis results
Hi, there look to be a couple of glitches, potentially the value of read noise for gain 20 on the ZWO and the rise in read noise at the far right on the Neptune-C, but those do not really affect the key features of the analysis. The key things to take away are * The NeptuneC is a 14 bit sensor compa...

Re: Set specific gain values for Sensor Analysis
Hi Ricardo, yes, you can do this via the scripting console. The command is SharpCap.SelectedCamera.SetGainsOfInterestForSensorAnalysis([79,80,81]) Obviously replace 79,80,81 with the values you are interested in. Run this command once you have opened the camera, but before you do the analysis. Note ...

Re: LiveStacking question
Hi Ken,
yes, clear and then pause (or close live stacking). In the latest 4.1, there is an option to not automatically restart after clearing, which might suit some people better than the current behaviour.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Brightness with the new QHY5III678m
Hi, if my suspicion is correct about the camera levels being restricted to 4095 then the stretch will do no harm, but it would be nice to fix properly. Do you have the beta version of the QHY driver (released 10th March 2023)? If not, that might be worth trying. Otherwise we can ask QHY to check. ch...

How about this >>> print (SharpCap.SelectedCamera.LatestStatus.AdditionalStatus["GPS"]) Status : PartialData Sequence # : 5722 Latitude : 0.0000000 Longitude : 0.0000000 Altitude : NaN Start : 2023-04-02T14:53:18.0000000Z Start (us) : 21696.1 End : 2023-04-02T14:53:18.0000000Z End (us) : 4...

Re: LiveStacking question
Hi, thanks for the log and further info. I think that one thing that might be causing some confusion is that closing and then re-opening live stacking does *not* reset the stack or clear the stacked image. This is deliberate, since it would be a shame to have to restart a stack from scratch just bec...

Re: Dithering inside Sequence editor
Hi, what I mean is that if you set up those options in the Guiding live stack settings, then they will get used in all live stacking. It doesn't matter if you start the live stacking manually using the 'Live Stack' button or via the sequencer - the dithering will happen if it is configurfed in those...
