Re: Dithering inside Sequence editor

Hi, what I mean is that if you set up those options in the Guiding live stack settings, then they will get used in all live stacking. It doesn't matter if you start the live stacking manually using the 'Live Stack' button or via the sequencer - the dithering will happen if it is configurfed in those...

Re: More info from GPS camera

Hi, sounds like the easiest thing would be to work out some way of giving you access to the full GPS status object, from which you could pick and choose the data you need. I will see if there is a tidy way to do that. On the countdown front, the way to go is to create a System.Windows.Forms.Timer on...

Re: Issue - Serial Number Already Used

Hi Jason, it could mean that the camera was pre-tested by Altair and that they inadvertently claimed a license using the serial number without meaning to, possibly some sort of duplication of serial numbers. The best bet is to contact Altair support and give them the serial number for the camera. Th...

Re: Problems with ZWO ASI533MM

Hi Gerard, I think that the 'USB device not recognized' message is coming from Windows, which means that the camera is failing to identify itself properly when plugged in. The first thing to try is to change everything that you can * Different USB3 cable * Different port on the computer * Different ...

Re: Flats are overcompensating for vignetting

Hi, I don't think the histogram will be a big problem, as you look to still be well short of 90% (and camera response should be linear up to well past 90%). One thing to be aware of is that flat frames typically also require dark frames to work correctly. If you use dark flats or bias frames when cr...

Re: LiveStacking question

Hi Ken, no, that shouldn't happen when you use the Goto Target tool - it should save and close live stacking as the first thing it does (pretty much first anyway), and part of that should be to reset the stack (so the stack frame count should go back to zero). I suppose maybe something could be happ...

Re: Mount sync issue

Hi, thanks for the report - unfortunately the ASCOM drivers for Meade telescopes seem to be a bit of a minefield with different versions (some from the manufacturer, some developed by end users) that have different capabilities and different bugs. Mind you, Celestron have their own glitches with CPW...

Re: Dithering inside Sequence editor

Hi, the easiest way is to set up the dithering options that you want in a manual live stack and then leave them set up. Live stacking will then do its thing when launched from the sequencer and that will include dithering as configured - nothing to do in the sequencer at all. If you want to take mor...

Re: Best Method to Change Live Stack Target

Hi, glad to hear that you like the look of the GOTO tool - I will investigate the bug report to see what is going wrong. I think that you are right that if you are coming from a more classical AP background then the way that live stacking just starts may feel wrong, but as a beginner tool, the fact ...
