Re: Frame count
Hi Neil, at the moment the capture settings file gets written when the capture starts, so adding the frame count isn't a quick change. Having said that, there is already work being done at capture completion when WinJUPOS naming is being used, so it should be possible. One for the todo list. cheers,...

Re: Stars in preview window randomly become blue-ish color
Hi, In your log I can see this message repeated in two places Stopping preview to change Debayer Preview This indicates that something (possible a capture profile you are loading) is setting the value of the 'Debayer Preview' control from it's normal value of 'On' to one of the other options - proba...

Re: SharpCap does not recognise Flee3 cameras
Ah, interesting... looking over the log from your bug report I can see this entry near the top FlyCapture2Managed.FC2Exception: Unsupported Hardware Interface. That's telling me that SharpCap isn't able to talk to your PointGrey camera directly, so you are ending up using the camera via the DirectSh...

Re: Final 3.0 Beta Build Available
Hi Charles, thanks for the detailed description of the problem - I think it has lead me straight to the code which is causing the issue, which is great! SharpCap 3 waits for the focuser to report that it is not moving before sending it a move command - that was added because I was seeing errors caus...

Final 3.0 Beta Build Available
I've just uploaded what I hope will be the last beta build for SharpCap 3.0 :) Build 3.0.3830 is now available from the Beta downloads page - http://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/downloads/beta-versions . There is also a new license key which (like the new beta build) will run until the 7th May. I am ...

Re: Orion Starshoot AutoGuider
Please try the new beta build (3.0.3830) - if I've got it right then SharpCap should no longer crash but just give you a warning message when you close the setup dialog. I have a suspicion that the dialog will not actually close, but maybe there is a cancel button or close box you can use? What I do...

Re: Orion Starshoot AutoGuider
Hi Gary, yes, it looks like the SSAG driver is trying to save its settings and making a mess of it. I will see if I can work out a way not to crash when that happens and just ignore the error - maybe that will allow you to set the gain correctly even if it doesn't get saved for next time. I'll let y...

Re: New SharpCap 3.0 Beta Available
Hi Peter, actually a new license won't get you very far as the beta builds themselves will run out on April 30th - I'm planning on releasing 3.0 properly at the end of this month, so I'm not planning on any new beta builds before then. Your best bet would probably to be to work with version 2.9 whil...

Re: Orion Starshoot AutoGuider
Hi Gary, good to see that you've got the camera working - it looks like you are using the ASCOM driver for the camera (I can tell this from the name given to the camera and the values in the settings file). The bug reports I get mostly relate to people trying to use the camera options dialog - the c...

Re: Hardware information
Hi Jesse, thanks for the suggestion - which keywords are most important to you? SharpCap already includes a number of header fields in the FITS file including EXPTIME XPIXSZ YPIXSZ XBINNING YBINNING CCD-TEMP SWCREATE DATE-OBS INSTRUME when the information is available to support them (for instance s...
