Re: Sensor Analysis Vanishes

No, I was using Raw16 and did the analysis with Raw16... the file was in the directory. So today I did a bit of testing and with the focuser and mount not connected (changed setting to not automagically connect when opening a camera). When I connected the camera and opened the histogram, it took a v...

Sensor Analysis Vanishes

Over the last few weeks while waiting for a less cloudy sky I have run sensor analysis on my QHY183c camera. But tonight, of course, in a short window between the clouds, I tried to do something. But for some reason Sharpcap 3.1 seems to know nothing of this prior work. WTF? Where does this informat...

Re: Evaluation of Sensor Analysis & Smart Histogram

I understand that. The question was why does the software suggest I run a sensor analysis when I am using an RGB profile with a colour camera? I have a raw analysis for this camera already. And if the analysis process requires 'raw' then what is the point of suggesting I do a sensor analysis for all...

Re: Evaluation of Sensor Analysis & Smart Histogram

I have been playing with it briefly using my new QHY183c. Did the analysis using RAW16, tried to measure sky background with 'brain' but never got a result. Am curious as to whether there is anything I can do to speed things up... ? Also, curious as to why, when one opens the histogram with the RGB2...

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C

http://www.qhyccd.com/QHY183.html is the page that I have been going to. And as of right now its a 404.

Let me know if you have some place I can push the patch software. This on again off again stuff drives me crazy and its a short trip at my age.

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C

Robin, The update is on the webpage for my camera -- QHY183c. At the bottom there is a list of downloadable components including the patch file. I would be happy to send the file I have to you but its 13mb so a tad large for the forum system. It took a couple of days to get the files as their websit...

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C

Robin, Just finished running sensor analysis with my QHY183c using the 3.2.5762 beta, as compared with the current 3.1.5219 release. In both cases I applied the 'UpdateForSharpCapLatestEdition' patch as indicated on their web page - their binary is labeled 2.1.19 with a creation date of 9-22-2018. D...

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C

Robyn, I am a new user so have downloaded all the latest and greatest -- which includes a software patch specific to Sharpcap. Noticed access to parts of their website was going up and down while fishing for this... guess something is being updated. I routinely get 404s accessing their site, been li...
