Hi Saguaro,
Thank you for your advice.
From now on, I will always choose the live stacking 'sigma clipping' algorithm.
This advantage of 'sigma clipping' algorithm is also clearly explained in the sharpcap user manual.
Kind Regards.

How to get rid of 'unusable' frame
Hello all, I imagined M82 last night using Live stacking functionality of Sharpcap. It went quite well (see picture), but it happened that by change I also shot an artificial satellite. This frame was stacked with all the other frames, and the final image contained that non-desired satellite track. ...

Re: Crashing during flat capturing
Hi Robin,
After testing again, what I have understood is that I can create 'valid' flat frames using Sharpcap, but I cannot use them (and any other flat frame created by other softwares) with Sharpcap because my old CPU does not support SSE4 instructions.
Am I right?
Thank you.
Cheers

Re: Crashing during flat capturing
Hi Robin,
Thank you for your quick answer.
Unfortunatelly I am in case 1 with my AMD Athlon II processor
Nevertheless, as Sharpcap saves a flat picture before crashing, can I use this image for further pre-processing?
Thank you.
Cheers.

Crashing during flat capturing
Hi, I tried to capture flats using my Atik 314L camera and Sharpcap 3.2 Every things went well till Sharpcap crashed at the end of the capture (see screen shots) Same problem occured whether I checked tick box 'Capture and subtract bias frames' or not. This problem does not occur with Sharpcap 3.1. ...

Re: No alignment found!
Hi Dave, Thank you for your advice . I think that I'll buy a bahtinov mask asap. I have retried M27 using Sharpcap focusing tool last night. As you can see below, I got better results than with previous M42, because I think I had mist on my camera window pane that former night. Sharcap app is workin...

Re: No alignment found!
Hi Robin,
I used sharpcap 3.2 this morning to imagine M42 and it worked well also.
I only need to improve focussing now!
See picture.
Cheers.

Re: No alignment found!
Hi Robin, Bingo! I have used sharpcap 3.2 to imagine M57 to night and it works, alignments were found and I could stack the frames. Please see attached the results. I have just a question: why does the saved as seen image still show the detected stars boxes? Thank you again for your help. Cheers Rem...

Re: No alignment found!
Hi Dave,
I would be really interested to 'grasp' your settings if you could imagine any of M27 or M57.
I didn't use my reducer 6.3 on the C8 when I first tried imaging with sharpcap.
I don't think this would have changed the alignment problem I am encountering.
Thank you.

Re: No alignment found!
Hi Robin, Hi Dave, I was using my 102/714 ED refractor (I also used my C8 telescope but with same alignment problem). Clear coming nights are forecast in the Alps where I live, so I will imaging again according to the settings Robin have advised. I' ll provide more pictures including individual snap...
