Re: LiveStacked frames and PixInsight
If I understand you right: SC is mainly a very good capturing sw - and PI is one of the best processing sw. Try both and find out your best way. PI is not so easy at the beginning and has a steep learning curve, but at the end you will have excellent results (... depending also on your raw input). F...

Re: LiveStacked frames and PixInsight
Hi Monika,
If you want to learn PixInsight I recommend 2), start in PI with the "Batch Preprocessing" script (BPP).
Cheers and good luck

Hi,
I've seen it too, but that's about it. Maybe, Robin, you can get a test model from QHY?
Cheers, Christian

Robin,
FYI, with sigma 50 I get 37 sources, solving occurs within about 90 sec.

Re: Platesolving finding >1000 sources when there clearly isn't? Please help!
Hi, I've downloaded your image from the url above: I see stars being not very sharp and a lot of hotpixels, the histogram seems to be left-side cut. My SC (ansvr) found > 10,000 sources - mainly hotpixels! (You can load an image into the Deep Sky Test Camera and solve it). After removing the hotpixe...

No issue here with 32bit pro under W7-64 and W10-64.

Re: Automatic adjustment of the LED (QHY-174-GPS)
YES.
The FITS header GPS_EXPU = DATE-OB2 - DATE-OBS is the real, GPS synchronized, exposure time. The SC set exposure time is EXPTIME. With the "real time" adjustment I brought GPS_EXPU agreeing with EXPTIME better than 1 µs.

Re: Automatic adjustment of the LED (QHY-174-GPS)
Hi, Another add. I was interested in how exactly you can get GPS_EXPU in relation to the set exposure time (QHY's "1 µs-precision"). And indeed, I got it. With above settings (GPS Freq Stabilization=On) and with exposure time set to 125 ms I got a stable GPS_EXPU better than 1 µs, measured...
