Re: Scripting capturing darks?
Sorry, but there is no way currently to script the capture of dark or flat frames. The procedure of averaging the dark frames is quite similar to live stacking with no alignment. You could probably script that and then after a certain number of frames save the stack as a 32-bit stack. The problem i...

Scripting capturing darks?
I'd like to rebuild my darks library with more frames and was looking to automate the creation since it involves multiple combinations of gain and exposure time (with a fixed temp of -10C, I have a ZWO ASI294MC Pro). I looked at the properties and methods of the camera objects and its controls (whil...

Re: PA with smaller FOV?
Thank you. I also heard from another observer that it works very well with just about 0.5 deg.

PA with smaller FOV?
I currently use an 8" SCT with a 0.63x reducer and an ZWO ASI294 MC Pro camera (no other camera). FOV is 0.86 deg x 0.58 deg, smaller than the required FOV listed as between 1 and 2.5 deg on each side as per https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/features/polar-alignment. It still works very well....

Re: Massively speeding up polar alignment
Hi Robin,
Quick question: what setups (i.e. mount + OTA combinations) were affected by the weight of the USB cable? I'm curious at what level they no longer matter.
Thanks.

Re: And what about implementing a "shooting plan"
Hi Robin,
Is the list of features planned for the next release available for sharing? Do you plan a big release with many features or incremental updates? I love SC and cannot wait for it.
Thanks,
Razvan

Re: Gradient Removal
+1 from me as well. I wanted to post a question whether drizzling is considered on the roadmap but having gradient removal would be a lot more valuable first. SharpCap has saved my observing (at home I live under Bortle 8) and has allowed me to see objects I would have never considered as visual tar...

Caption the "Save as viewed" image
I'm a new user of SC Pro and I haven't found a way to do this after googling for solutions (please correct me if one exists). It'd be great to be able to caption the "Save as viewed" image based on a template, much like the filenames can be generated. Elements like target name, exposure/ga...
