Re: lock up with 60 second frame using Altair 26C
Matt I also noted that my 26C in SharpCap only gives the options of USB=0,1,2 in the interface, but it is registering in my system as a USB v3.1 device Altair cameras present a USB Speed Control setting which can be 0, 1 or 2. These figures do not relate to the level of USB bus available. Use the hi...

Re: Alnitak | Atik 314E + Ha filter | 9x600s | unguided
Thanks Brian. I think I got away with it because: the ED66 scope only weighs about 2kg the elevation was around 35° the scope and counterweight were fairly horizontal, which sat nicely on the mount's gears Processing was quick and simple, I remember struggling with this back in 2018 - some improveme...

Re: Alnitak | Atik 314E + Ha filter | 9x600s | unguided
Found this old data doing a disk tidy - 10x600s unguided with an Ha filter. Reprocessed with Astro Pixel Processor and Neat Image. Time I put some effort into getting guiding working.

Re: Jupiter & Saturn, optimistic imaging
This is what I aspire to https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap201223.html (thanks for this Brian). 1m scope (probably), on top of a mountain and high elevation works wonders.

Re: Jupiter & Saturn, optimistic imaging
A good result there Ron. Demonstrates the difference elevation makes between your 18°and my 5°.

Re: Live Stacking not working but working in Folder Monitor
Vince The SV305 is 1920x1080 2 Mega Pixel camera. There is no requirement for 64-bit here. Start off with the 32-bit SharpCap. https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Alignment%20Tab On the Alignmen t tab in Live Stack, check Highlight Detected Star s to see what the software 'see's. Common fixes relate to...

Re: Problems with new ASI2600
Steve I'm on a Nevada switched mode PSU into the Eagle3 so should be OK for the power See below ..... Camera specs from the ZWO site https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/product/asi2600mc-pro-color . In here it mentions: anti-dew heater which needs 5W 2 stage TEC cooling down to 35°C below ambient 2...
