Re: Orion Starshoot AutoGuider

It turns out that the ZWO 120 in question has an electronic fault and is being returned to the vendor - the owner emailed me (it was in relation to a thread on the Altair Google Group).

Re: SharpCap support Astro-Video Systems APU-1?

Mark I had a look at the APU-1 manual. If you have the base model, then a frame grabber is needed for computer capture. If you have the video streaming model then USB to computer without a frame grabber is possible. Other items I have found useful with my DSO-1 are: Video balun http://www.ebay.co.uk...

Re: SharpCap support Astro-Video Systems APU-1?

There is a manual for the APU-1 on the AVS Yahoo Group site - which you will not be able to access. If you Private Message me with your email, I will forward on the manual. Re: Check Device File

I own one of these http://www.ezcap.tv/usb-video-capture/ezcap116-capture-card and it works reliably with my AVS DSO-1 video camera. Note the Be Warned section on this web page describing the steps the company took to protect their trading name. The 116 you have is a reliable device based on my pers...

Save histogram with capture

Robin When saving a FITS or AVI we get the xyz data file + a file xyz.CameraSettings.txt . Would it be possible to produce a file xyz.histogram.png – a histogram graphic (say 640x480) - at the time of generation of the camera settings file? This facility to be able to be turned on/off via a switch i...
