Re: Upgrading QHY 174 GPS Camera Firmware

Could someone meter the connections between the 0.1" Blaster header and the 0.05" header that plugs into the QHY boards please ? I'll have to make something up and would rather not make any assumptions and find out the hard way that I guessed incorrectly. No answer from QHY. Of course, if ...

Re: All GPS Status codes and their exact meaning

Hi Robin,

I'd be interested in the information for upgrading my 174 if it's not too much trouble.

Cheers,

The reason is that I have several setups, some that have several, quite different field of views. At ...

Re: Troubleshooting Polar Alignment

It looks to me like your exposure is too long, making the background level too high.
My settings for a Polemaster in Auckland suburbs are Exp=150ms, Gain=70.

Re: Recreating Edwin Hubble's discovery of a Variable Star in the Andromeda Galaxy

Much as I hate the term, Var1 is a bucket list object for me. That's not helped by me living in New Zealand, where M31 barely creeps up to 10 degrees azimuth. I haven't seen it captured with anything less than 8" aperture before, so now I have renewed hope that I can get it with my travel setup...

Re: QHY 174 GPS Calibration LED issue // USB Traffic weirdness

Thanks Robin. It's no longer that important to me. More of a loose end that would be nice to tidy up.
I might pursue it further when I run out of things to tidy up. :)
