Re: live stack lost folder
I had the same here with the 3.3.6309.0 version but then with normal capture: clicked the Start Capture Button, in there I gave it the Target Name Moon_Barlow and started saving. No problem, the map Moon_Barlow was created. Then after a while it was without Barlow but with IR, so in the same way I s...

Re: Partial Waxing Gibbous 73% lit Moon in 685nm Infrared 5000px
Menno That started well, shame about the clouds. You are getting good fps from the camera. With my 8" SCT I have a dew shield and a dew heater band - it is impossible to use without. I expect your 8" Meade will have the same problems. Dave So far it didn't fog up. Have the scope now for a...

Tycho and Clavius with InfraRed 685nm pass filter
Tycho and Clavius with InfraRed 685nm pass filter Before the clouds and fogging of screen, did capture this. It's for me the first time working with this camera and IR-Pass filter and the amount of detail is just stunning. Equipment: Meade LX65 8” f/10 OTA Ioptron CEM25P mount Zwo ASI385MC camera Ba...

Partial Waxing Gibbous 73% lit Moon in 685nm Infrared 5000px
Partial waxing gibbous 73% lit moon / 11 part 5000px mosaic in 685nm InfraRed This is my first go at the moon in infrared. Sadly cloud cover came, so couldn’t finish the whole mosaic. Plus I didn’t notice my scope was fogging up. Also first experience with that now. So even though the mosaic is not ...

My first M82 and M51 captures
Totally new to all of this. Have some experience with a small Newton 10 years ago but this with camera and all is new. I really am just wandering around the sky at the moment, like a big kid trying to look at everything in 1 night. Will grow up soon enough ;) In the night of 26 to 27 April I capture...

Re: Lunar imaging with filters
I was going to make a topic but don't need to.
I am going to use an Baader IR-pass filter for lunar imaging but all new to this. So your topic here is great. For sure some of my setting will be different since it lets through less light but it's a good basis to start with.

Re: What is "brightness" ??
Ah, good to know this. It explains why I get "weird" captures since I thought it was just a cosmetic thing and didn't influence the captures. Bit like adjusting the lightness of your monitor.

Re: Exact every second a short freeze of SharpCap when mount is connected
Good to hear!
And indeed not really ideal: for example finetuning the slider for gain and that gets halted every second. It's like working in stop-motion
But for now no biggie and okay: I will just not use the connection to the mount in SC, will use another prog for mount control.

Exact every second a short freeze of SharpCap when mount is connected
Hello My name is Menno, I am from the Netherlands. Busy for a week now with SharpCap and I love it!! But only today I discovered that my mount also can be connected to it. And it does connect, I can slew and set the speed. But ... when the mount is connected, SC has a very short stutter *every* seco...
