Re: Plate solving ok; sync doesn't work properly
BlackWikkett thanks for your suggestion. 1) I don't need and don't use any planetarium software. Why should i use stellarium? 2) I repeat that Meade Autostar 497 (that is present on Meade LX90) hasn't any sort of coordinate setting (i also installed a 3rd party pacthed firmware: it hasn't too that s...

Re: Plate solving ok; sync doesn't work properly
Hi, Okay, the procedure is something like this 1) SharpCap asks the mount for its current pointing position (which may be JNOW or J 2000 – we don't care) 2) Image frame is captured and passed to the plate solving engine 3) the plate solver calculates the position of the centre of frame in J 2000 co...

Re: Plate solving ok; sync doesn't work properly
Thanks Robin.
So my meade mount claims to use JNOW? Under equinox It reports 2020.00273224044...
So what happens exactly during sync?

Re: All Sky Plate Solver question
I don't use ASPS but have been using Astrotortilla successfully for plate solving with SharpCap for over a year now. Sounds like you've got ASPS actually reading your star field and generating a solution that it then send the mount to slew to. You're reporting the slew are still off. Every time I'v...

Re: SC and the New ZWO ASILive.
And try the undo last frame function, that substracts last frame from the stack session.
For me is the most important feature.
I look forward to seeing this function in SC as soon as possible.
Thanks Robin

Plate solving ok; sync doesn't work properly
Meade lx90. Plate solve works with no problem, as you can see. Immagine.jpg But when i sync the mount or sync and recenter it, the coordinates change. And they always change by an offset between 0,23 and 0,28 degree... 2_.jpg I suspect that this amount of offset is due to a coordinate conversion, fr...

Re: Filter in Filename
Hi, Yes, the exposure did come out in the filename for me. No, it doesn't for me. Look at this....You can see that exposure should be 4 s, not 32 s. Exposure isn't single frame exposure, but it's total exposure... Do you understand now? I begin to think that I made a mistake in editing the filename...
