SV305 gain issues
I have two instances of SharpCap: Version 3.2 on a PC and version 4 on a Laptop (both Windows 64-bit). I am having two issues with version 4. I want to upgrade to 4 on both eventually. 1. The gain settings on Version 3.2 went from 1 to 30, but the settings on Version 4 go from 1 to 720. Why was this...

Re: SV305 odd histogram
Yes, this was after using the auto balance adjustment (about 160 for Red and Blue, 100 for Green). I assumed this was the correct way to use the software. Otherwise the image looks bad (green). However, this raises another point. I assumed the histogram showed me the actual pixel values. Is that not...

Re: SvBony sensor analysis fail
UPDATE: I noticed that simply taking the sensor out and laying on my desk (with the translucent cover) resulted in getting a light level in the magic range, so I tried to run the tests again. This time, I was able to complete the tests, even though they may not be accurate since background was not w...

Re: SvBony sensor analysis fail
Thanks very much for the reply. I did try the settings you mentioned and set the saturation to zero since it did not really change the auto exposure time. Leaving the Green setting at 100 seems problematic though since it makes the green sensor values twice as high as red or blue on the histogram (i...

SvBony sensor analysis fail
I just started using Sharpcap (3.2.6482 free version) with my first sensor - a SvBony 305. I have been having some success, but at times the program seems to hang temporarily or do odd things. The following is a case in point. I cannot get through the sensor analysis. I started by trying to point th...
