Re: Added Info in CameraSettings.txt
Yes, putting the custom entry capability on the right side as a separate control panel seems to me to be a good choice. It would be readily accessible and also could be minimized if not needed at any given time. Thank you for considering this.

Re: Added Info in CameraSettings.txt
I second this suggestion from about a year ago. One thing I would like automatically added would be any enhancements and their respective settings used from the Live Stacking enhancement tab. It would be nice to be able to manually add information on ancillary equipment used that are important to th...

Re: Live Stack 3 Panel Mosaic Orion & Running Man
Chris,
Nice! Any chance there's recording of that night's broadcast that I can access? I'm interested in learning more about making simple mosaics.

Re: M42 chronicles
Yeah, I forgot he mentioned Hyperstar. That does put the camera at the front, which would remove any mount clearance issues. As far as undersampling goes, the Hyperstar can be installed or removed as desired. So it's not like he has a permanent 406.4 mm focal length scope. He can also operate at the...

Good luck, Joe! Having made the same transition (RI to 294MC Pro) a while back, you are in for a real treat! The ZWO camera is so much easier to use with SharpCap -- no more going through separate obtuse menu settings outside of SharpCap to set exposure and gain, much wider field of view making it e...

Re: Which histogram to use while live stacking?
I've wondered the same thing for quite a while. I haven't yet heard a good explanation of why one should choose to use both, though I know imagers I respect highly (Chris for one) do so. As I understand from the manual, if you use both and want to save the image as you see it on the screen, you must...

Re: Sharpcap doesn't retrieve Celestron focuser position
Robin, From the Celestron firmware engineer prior to your latest post: "I have additional information. After SmartCap creates an instance of the driver, it checks the Connected property. CPWI's ASCOM focuser driver will report Connected=True if CPWI is running and if CPWI has found a focuser on...
