variable gain for sensor analysis

Hi Robin I was looking into your sensor analysis feature and it seems like it is setup more for longer DSO imaging. As you are aware many of us are into EAA or rear real-time observing/imaging and mostly use higher gain levels in order to reduce the exposure times and also improve the read noise lev...

Re: Additions/changes - Near Live Imaging

Thank you very much Robin for the update regarding the new colour balance during live stacking. I was watching Don on NSN.com last night and it seemed to work very well. We did not know then about the fine adjustment so this will make it even easier to use. It has been so cloudy here and have not be...

Re: Additions/changes - Near Live Imaging

Hi Robin I was playing a bit today during the daytime with my ASI1600MC and Sharpcap. I did notice that when I began a session, I would first color balance using the red and blue sliders in the image control section on a single image (no live stacking yet) and I made sure the RGB peak in the histogr...

Re: Additions/changes - Near Live Imaging

Sorry, Robin but the answer to your question "Just to check - you are looking for white balance with live stacking yes?" is YES! I also own a ZWO ASI1600 color camera that I want to use with Sharpcap. Thanks again.

Re: Additions/changes - Near Live Imaging

Hi Robin Yes, there are many of us broadcasting live on NSN.com using Sharpcap and really love it! As you know I just started using version 3.1 Pro with my ASI183 mono camera and really like the combination of both Sharpcap and this mono camera for its ease of use for EAA (near real-time observing)....

Re: Sharpcap crashes

Hi Robin Sorry to get back late but I was testing last night late. Sharpcap 3.1 worked very well with my ASI183 camera using the native driver (I did not try the ASCOM driver) and I was able to get an excellent polar alignment in about 10 minutes. I was also able to capture images using the capture ...

Re: Sharpcap crashes

Thank you Robin and I feel dumb lol! BTW, I tried out now the polar alignment and live stacking feature after reinstalling the two Sharpcap version 3.0 & 3.1 with the camera capped so only darks and Sharpcap now works and does not stop. Obviously these two features could not produce the results ...

Re: Sharpcap crashes

Robin, sorry this is new to me and I do not know how to send/display the log report to this forum. I went into help "show log" and just selected "copy to clipboard" but I see nothing under file to save and send? Thank you!
