Re: Eclipse Sequence Generator
All's well that ends - mostly- well. I managed to salvage some shots. Turns out I misjudged the exposure in totality - I didn't think to bracket whilst making modifications on the fly. And, for some reason I my saved shots were in monochrome. Operator error. but still ... eclipse corona_.jpg color c...

Re: Eclipse Sequence Generator
Well, auto expose failed. It set the exposure very high, reflecting I suspect the large proportion of black pixels. So, the image was blown out. I was able to quickly recreate t he sequence - thanks L-Kid - and off we went. All seemed to go nicely. Some great screen captures on my Ipad. The saved FI...

collimation tool
Robin
The documentation for collimation says it is for Newtonians. So it won't work on an SCT, RC or refractor ?
If it is not too much trouble, can you explain why.
TIA

Re: Windows 11
I use a windows Surface Pro 2. It is a dated model, according to Msft. I found that my fingers were too fat to get good control of things like the histogram sliders. I also tried using a pen, but that too provided poor control. I always use a mouse, or the track pad on the Surface Pro 2 keyboard.

Re: Can I run SharpCap in windows 10 home
Last thought Wikkett brings up a good point about power, especially in portable mode. The Surface pro only has one USB port (3.0), but I suspect it is pretty low power. It is sufficient to run a risingtech IMX224 camera, but I haven't tried it with any larger power hungry computer. You should see if...
