Re: Plans for SharpCap 3.2
These are all good adds for livestacking. -would echo the ability for better control the histogram curves -a gradient removal tool would be useful (although finer control over the histogram curves might largely solve for basic viewing purposes) -having a zoom view of the histogram -maybe an alert wh...

Re: Re-Centering
-it's a zwo asi224mc. so the FOV with reducer is .44 degrees.
-i use the smart brain, so exposure varies according to light pollution, but,
2-4 seconds is the range... so when re-centering, some patience is required.

Re-Centering
I thought I'd share a technique I've been using to get longer stacking times. By way of background, I have a Celestron 5se on a wedge and generally do a simple polar alignment (center on polaris). So, given the set-up/equipment, i can get about 5 to 10 minutes before the drift gets too bad. So.. -I ...

Re: ZWO ASI color 224 default brightness and R/B levels
yes- thanks. What is default for brightness?
Generally, I've found the RGB default to be better for brighter objects, but, otherwise needs adjustment.

ZWO ASI color 224 default brightness and R/B levels
Hi- I've had read in other forums that the the default setting for brightness=100= no gain and the Default WRed =55 WBlue 99 ( where 50= 0% gain). 1. Does this match your data? 2. Does Smart Brain adjust these settings? 3. Do you have any recommendation regarding if/how to adjust the brightness once...

Digital Gain
HI-
I have read where increasing the digital gain can effect the alignment accuracy.
Does this mean that it's potentially harder to find alignment and/or that the stacked image will be negatively effected?
thanks

Re: Recognizing ASI224MC camera
I actually got USB 3.0 to work by re-installing the parallels toolbox.

Re: Recognizing ASI224MC camera
Thanks. Indeed, using USB 2.0.both Sharpcap and Nebulosity connected,
so I presume a virtual machine issue arose.

Re: Recognizing ASI224MC camera
-Same result with 3.0 -I tried Nebulosity and had same problem -Camera connects fine with with astrolive, so i'm suspecting the issue might be with either (a) using Parallels or (b) Zwo windows driver. A bit strange in that there were no Windows or Parallels updates over 2/05 to 2/06 when the it sto...
