Re: Starlight Xpress Midi filter wheel crash
Hi Robin I updated to version 4.0.8026 and all works fine if I unplug one camera. Unfortunately, the two hub approach will not work (I wish it could) and I am out of laptop ports anyway as the other port is used for the mount for PHD guiding. So, I think the simplest solution is to just unplug the c...

Re: Starlight Xpress Midi filter wheel crash
HI Robin OK- I think I made some headway and then a question back to you. First - I took the FW#2 down as that was the on throwing the errors and to address your questions. The FW worked fine at my desktop and it rotated within a couple of seconds. So, it acted as one would expect. In fact, it worke...

Re: Observatory Build [Archived from astronomyshed.co.uk]
Excellent build, Robin! I see you decided on the side by side mount plate vs. piggybacked like what I did. I've heard the side by side is better for the mount but much harder to balance. Anyway, great job and I like comparing what others have done to my ROR which was built on the roof of my 4-car ga...

Re: Starlight Xpress Midi filter wheel crash
I just tried it again with the updated ver of SC. When I went to select ZWO EFW 2 it said (in use) and I checked the filter names and they were correct. However, it is followed by and error message (attached) and then the program freezes, the screen turns white and then SC closes automatically.

Re: Starlight Xpress Midi filter wheel crash
Hi Robin I must be dense as I can't seem to get any of these options working. When I try via the ZWO ASCOM driver using ZWO Filter Wheel (1) it runs my 1st FW on the C11. When I then try to setup (under properties) ZWO Filter Wheel (2) it allows me to enter the filter names but the wheel does not tu...

Re: Starlight Xpress Midi filter wheel crash
OK- thanks for the explanations, Robin. Well, out of pure frustration, I decided to go back to my ZWO EFWs despite liking the SX FW better. So, to that end, I have another issue- namely, having 2 of them on a permanent setup- one on the C11 and the other on a piggybacked 80mm. The main one on the C1...

Re: Starlight Xpress Midi filter wheel crash
Hi Robin I am still under clouds for 12 straight weeks except the one night I sent the question on NB filters using the multi-star focusing procedure. So, I decided to just trying testing this SX MIDI FW issue again during the day. I am attaching a screen shot and a couple of logs that I hope will b...

Re: Multi-star FWHM autofocusing with NB filters
Thanks much, Robin Correct- using v4.0. It is the area selection box. When I did adjust it to cover the whole image it did display like it should by highlighting individual stars. I just was not understanding why that was happening. Next clear night I will make the other adjustments you suggest and ...

Multi-star FWHM autofocusing with NB filters
I finally had a couple of evenings to try the multi-star FWHM feature with my autofocusers since I want to use the sequencer. Unfortunately, I am having trouble with using my NB filters but this worked with my lum filter. When I attempted it with a NB filter, all that happened was a small red box ap...
