Re: Best plate solver for Cartes Du Ceil Sharopcap Pro
Thanks Chonga. Can I ask you a question. Once I polar align I have to put an eyepioece in the scope and get CDC to slew to a target to do an initial sync. Because Im always having to set up and tear down after every session sometimes my home position is slightly out so CDC is never on target. At th...

Re: Best plate solver for Cartes Du Ceil Sharopcap Pro
I've been using ASPS with CDC and a EQ6R for about 3 years now. It's worked every time.......very stable and easy.

Re: Crash when running sequencer
It crashed again after about 1.5 hours or running. I think I forgot to hit send on the error report after I got this screen shot. Hope it's enough to go on.

Crash when running sequencer
3.3.7253 This sequence has worked many times before. Only two changes I made were moving the "arrange files into one folder" to the very first step and reversing the autofocus offset to move in the negative direction. It crashed as you can see in the screen shot. I sent the bug report. I o...

Re: sequencer issue (maybe?)
Try putting the "wait until guiding is active" step after the dither and before your 10 second wait? I use it and don't have an issue. I believe it waits until guiding starts to trigger the next step.

Re: Share your sequencer steps and tips to give me ideas.
I used it tonight and it worked for the first round of images but then stopped. Perhaps I should have placed it at the very top outside of the repeat 5 times step? So it's the very first thing it does and only runs it once? It worked at first and put all four image cycles into the first folder. On t...

Re: Question about sequencer frame capture
Thanks....I figured that out with some testing I've done today. I've always used live stack for data capture and just learned the hard way about this. No big deal...I'll adjust my camera profiles so none of them have preprocessing on. One last thing....Sometimes I use my master flats and darks in PI...

Question about sequencer frame capture
If I'm using the sequencer and a camera profile has preprocessing flats and darks loaded in will it save the files raw or with the preprocessing corrected?
Does still or live mode make a difference with preprocessing?

Re: Getting to grips with SC
I've only used cooled cameras but a few things jumped out in your post.... 30s is waaayyyy too long. You are almost certainly blowing out stars and probably putting them over the maximum pixel width so SC is ignoring them. Go down to around 4 to 7 second exposures and leave it around there. Adjust y...

Share your sequencer steps and tips to give me ideas.
I'm closing in on having a sequence to fully start up and shut down but I don't trust it yet. I'm using full moon nights to experiment with the sequencer and one day soon might be willing to trust it to fully automate everything. Below isn't my most complicated sequence but it's my simple workhorse ...
