Thanks Robin. I'll do some tests this evening. I wasn't using the guide scope and camera to do the polar alignment, but rather the main imaging scope and camera. Is one preferred over the other?

Polar Alignment Disagrees with PHD2
Hello Everyone, Last night I used the Polar Alignment tool through my 127mm refractor and .8 focal reducer for a focal length of 762mm, connected to my ASI2600MC Pro camera. I got the alignment to 17 arc-seconds and locked everything down. I then used the Guiding Assistant on PHD2 to analyze my guid...

Re: Creating Flats with Optolong L-Extreme Filter?
Thanks Robin! I found this feature yesterday afternoon (I was still using version 3) and tried it last night on the Rosette nebula. It appears to have done a much better job.

Sigma Clipping Settings to Reject Satellites
Hello Everyone, In last night's live-stacking effort I was using the Sigma Clipping stacking algorithm but a satellite was not rejected in my stack. I've attached a picture showing my settings, which used the first 5 frames to compute the average. I know that the satellite occurred AFTER this becaus...

Re: Creating Flats with Optolong L-Extreme Filter?
Thanks Brian. I don't think SharpCap has an option for me to create Dark Flats. How would I do it?

Re: Creating Flats with Optolong L-Extreme Filter?
Thanks Robin! The issue isn't caused by the lack of Darks during the capture of the Lights. I had the proper Dark included during that time. What would cause the second issue "excessive dark/bias correction when capturing the flats". Regarding the noise issue, I captured 20 flats and the g...

Creating Flats with Optolong L-Extreme Filter?
What's the best process and settings for capturing flats using the dual-narrowband Optolong L-Extreme filter on a ZWO ASI2600MC Pro color camera? There is so little light allowed through the filter that I have to either brighten my light source significantly and/or use a much longer exposure time. W...
