Menno if you are anything like me that 1/2 a night will also coincide with a full moon directly in front of the target and most of Elon Musk's starlink satellite's.

Re: Is it possible with 3.3 to dither without guiding and no live stack?

Hi Menno, PHD2 will not do blind dithering as it moves the guide star co-ordinates to dither and then re-centers this moved star it would have to be a feature of the imaging software to dither in the way you are describing I believe NINA and APT may have a feature if Robin is looking for what others...

Re: M13 first image in a while also with DIY lifting Pier

Thanks Robin/Bruce, I know the feeling were I live it is in between two rivers and the surrounding hills almost create a continuous stream of clouds so even if the apps say it going to be clear it usually is not. Hence the reason I built a weather station with infra red sensors so I can sit in the l...

Re: M33 the Triangulum Galaxy

Hi Menno, Cracking image I like M33 as it is a good size target, I have not imaged it for a while and not since I got the new scope and more recently new colour camera so you have definitely sown a seed for a possible target. I agree with your sentiments that I do the hobby for my own gratification ...

Re: M13 first image in a while also with DIY lifting Pier

Thanks Menno, Robin it was not meant as an intrigue, my observatory is on the end of my workshop in the garden and has a pitched roof and it was not practical to slide the roof off it would have ended badly for dad's poly tunnel so I added two sliding doors in the roof that effectively when opened c...

Well it's been a while since I have been on the SharpCap forum so this is the first image in a long time earlier in the year I made a new pier to lift the scope / mount and all the accessories out of the roof of the end of the workshop were it lives. This is the first time we have had ago imaging wi...

Re: Messier 16 The Eagle Nebula

Nice image I tried it last year and like you only get a few hours with it very low in the sky and also suffer with sky glow as it sits over Cheltenham / Gloucester and Bristol for me during those two hours.

Re: ASI2600MC Pro- Initial observations

I am impressed with mine as well but need to get more time with it to really play with the settings I think once I fully get to grips with it then it will be my main go to camera over the ASI1600 mainly because of the easier work flow. Hopefully you have a better night soon to have more of an extens...
